1. Valid GATE Score in Electronics. ( Sponsored and SC/ST candidates may have relaxation to this requirement; but they have to appear for a Departmental test). Candidates for sponsored quota must have minimum experience of 3 years in the relevant field and must be sponsored by Industry/ Teaching / Research organisations of Centre/ State Government. Maximum age of sponsored candidate is fixed as 40 years as on 1st of August of the year of admission. Also, a sponsorship fee equivalent to the laboratory fee will be levied on the sponsored candidates. ( This is to compensate for the contingent grants received for other candidates from UGC).

When the GATE score of two or more candidates are equal, the marks scored at the qualifying examination is reckoned as a tie -breaker

M.Sc.

First Class B.Sc./B.Sc.(Hons.) degree with not less than 60% aggregate marks in Electronics, Computer Science or Physics (with Electronics).

Depending upon the combination of courses an applicant chooses, he/she may have to appear for both the CAT and Departmental admission test and/or interview. Candidates are advised to understand carefully the rules in this regard and appear for such examinations that would make them eligible for the courses they prefer to get admitted. Any representation for redressal of grievances for acts of omission or non-observance of rules in this regard will not be entertained by the University.
