The department conducts two national symposiums as a biennial event. The national symposium series on Antenna and Propagation (APSYM), commenced from the year 1988, and the symposium on Ocean Electronics (SYMPOL) from 1991. Department also conducted a National Seminar on Artificial Neural Network and Cognitive Systems (ANCS) last year. The proceedings of each of the above symposia are also being published from the department. The national reputation held by the department also attracts numerous sponsored research projects.

        The department also hosts annual events like Open House where the facilities of the department is exhibited and explained to the public. ELSIP is another program which is aimed for giving students at the undergraduate level to visit our lab and have hands-on experience on their interested experiments.
