C.K.Aanandan was born in India on 31st May 1959. He received the Ph.D degree in Microwave Electronics from Cochin University of Science & Technology under the guidance of Prof. K.G. Nair.
From 1987 until 1990, he worked as a Lecturer in Physics at different Government Colleges in Kerala. In 1990, he joined as a faculty member of this Department. At present he is working as a reader. He has been selected as Regular Associate of the International Centre for Theoretical Physics, Trieste, Italy. The membership enables him and his research student to visit the Centre for doing research work. He was awarded a grant by ICTP and The National Research Council of Italy (CNR) for doing Post Doctoral work at the Centre for studies in Antennas and Propagation at Torino, Italy during the year 1997-1998. His Research activities are in Microstrip Antennas, Spectral domain analysis, Leaky Wave Antennas, Radar Cross Section, Numerical Analysis of Antennas, Dielectric Resonator Antennas, Microwave Instrumentation etc. He has co-authored around seventy research papers in referred Journals and Symposia. He is a Life member of Indian Society for Technical Education.
